John Wall has been a great athlete but the injuries played spoilsport and affected his career. Wall last played for the Clippers in 2023 and has been trying to make a comeback in the league since then. Wall recently appeared on Podcast P with Paul George and talked about his future comeback and career so far in the NBA.
Midway through the podcast, Wall was asked about ‘the greatest Washington Wizards star of all time’, he accepted, in fact, self-proclaimed the title, and gave props to Gilbert Arenas for giving him a shoutout as the greatest wizard ever.
It's funny bro because I do [feel I’m the greatest Wizard ever].John Wall said on the podcast
Wall also said that he wouldn’t be mad if someone picked Arenas over him as the greatest Wizard. But in his opinion, he is the greatest Wizard of all time. Wall also mentioned that he still goes back to Washington every summer because it’s his community for life.
George also said that the love and admiration Wall received when he was with the Clippers and visited Washington was something else. He also said that while Kawhi Leonard and Paul George got boos at the arena, Wall received the adoration of the Washington fans.
John Wall is trying his best to get back into the NBA
John Wall has been out with an injury and now he feels ready to make his comeback in the NBA. Wall believes he has a lot to offer.
John Wall said when asked about the comebackThat’s where I am. I know how much the game means to me, how much I wanna get back to the game.
Wall has been a veteran in the league and can be a key piece to a young building team. Before injuries, he was a great player who managed to get the Wizards into the playoffs but after setbacks and trades, he wasn’t the same player again. Wall is now ready to get back in the NBA and also claimed that there are a lot of young teams in the league that can use a veteran like him in their rotation.
Wall said he doesn’t want to restrict himself as someone who is only looking for a position and is ready to be a role player as well. He is also ready to take a coaching position. This probably shows how badly Wall wants to get back in the NBA.
