“I wish him best of luck”: John Wall reacts to DeMarcus Cousins being waived off from Houston Rockets

John Wall and DeMarcus Cousins

Houston Rockets haven’t been stable this season. After releasing James Harden, a lot of controversies have grasped their root. The franchise is dull this season. However, their decision to waive off center DeMarcus Cousins has attracted a lot of attention. This season is rather fading into oblivion for the Houston Rockets. With a record of 11-8 in the Western Conference, the team needs humongous amount of support. They don’t seem to be contenders for the title anymore. But John Wall has still a lot of respect for brother DeMarcus Cousins.
The Rockets are currently 14th in the WC. With an 8 lose streak, it is humiliating for them to even put up a fight this late. Their star center and 4-time All-Star, Demarcus Cousins is out from the roster now. As per sources, Cousins was unhappy being the backup center behind Christian Wood. The star did not even start for the Rockets. With less minutes and more bench time, Stephen Silas never felt confident for Boogie. DeMarcus’ defensive limitations are creating a lot of issues in the absence of Wood.

30-YO veteran guard John Wall seems upset to see his teammate moving out from the franchise. On being asked about the waive off situation, Wall seemed concerned for his brother moving out. He said, “I understand that it’s a business. But it’s very tough for me because that’s somebody I call my brother outside of basketball. I’ve been through injuries and he’s been through the same as me. “We haven’t gotten a chance to play together since college. We really wanted the opportunity to do that.” Although, Wall is happy that Cousins will get an opportunity to prove his worth once again. “I wish him the best of luck. I hope he can find a job very soon.”
After the trade talks, a lot of teams may eye acquiring the centre. Especially the Lakers would like to grasp this opportunity with AD side lined with injury. However, this deal is may not be a high paying to boogie. To the brighter side, Boogie may sign with title contending teams.
