(Video) Jon Jones Caught on Camera Flipping Off Man in Road-Rage Incident
UFC legend and former two divisional champion Jon Jones once again finds himself in the spotlight for the wrong reasons.
Jon Jones road rage
- Jon Jones was caught on camera flipping off a driver during a road-rage incident.
- He has a history of legal troubles related to driving, including a 2012 DUI and a 2025 fleeing incident.
- Jon Jones faces ongoing tensions with the UFC, with support from former rivals over his treatment and compensation.
Jon Jones is widely regarded as one of the most accomplished fighters in UFC history. He became the youngest champion at 23, dominating the light heavyweight division with multiple title defenses. However, he has often made headlines for controversies outside the cage. This was evident again when footage showed him flipping off a driver who called him out for what he alleged was bad driving.
Jones last competed in the UFC in November 2024, marking his only heavyweight title defense, in which he defeated Stipe Miocic to retain the belt. Following that bout, he stepped away from competition, halting his run at the top of the division. Many expected a comeback at a proposed UFC White House event, but it did not materialize as past issues continued to weigh on UFC CEO Dana White‘s mind.
Recently, an Instagram account under the name @bryanbeltran06 shared a video showing a roadside encounter after a Ford SVT truck repeatedly came close to hitting his car from behind. The truck pulled up directly behind him, and as Beltran continued shouting, Jones stepped out, approached his vehicle, and told him to relax. As the exchange continued, Jones flipped him off before walking back to his truck.

This is not the first time in recent months that Jones has been linked to road-related incidents, as earlier in 2025, he was accused of fleeing the scene of a car accident in Albuquerque. Reports also detailed that he allegedly made threatening remarks during a phone call with a police officer while the situation was being handled. The case drew attention before being dismissed after authorities accepted his alibi.
There have been multiple instances where ‘Bones’ faced legal trouble related to driving, including a 2012 DUI arrest in New York and a 2020 aggravated DWI case in Albuquerque involving firearm and insurance violations. In February 2025, the former champion was accused of fleeing the scene of a car accident, leading to a bench trial and allegations of threatening a police officer, though some charges were later dismissed.
Jon Jones’s recent road incidents add to a career marked by repeated controversies, from traffic accidents to past PED violations that led to him being stripped of multiple titles. Despite challenges outside the Octagon, his UFC accomplishments remain historic. The Albuquerque native’s record-breaking defenses and dominance across multiple divisions continue to inspire many aspiring fighters worldwide.
Jon Jones gains support from another rival amid tensions with the UFC
Jon Jones’s relationship with the UFC and Dana White has deteriorated after the CEO announced that ‘Bones’ would not be considered for the UFC White House event, and Jones declared his retirement, citing arthritis. In response, Jones challenged the UFC and White over alleged false claims, insisting he can still compete at the highest level. Since then, both sides have been engaged in a public war of words.

The dispute quickly drew attention from fellow fighters, including UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall, who supported Jones despite their previous rivalry. Former rival Francis Ngannou has now called for better treatment of Jones and improvements in how the UFC handles fighter compensation. Their backing highlights concerns within the sport over top athletes’ standing in the organization.
If there is somebody that deserves something nowadays, like just even to pay him tribute, it’s Jon Jones. Jon Jones needs to get paid maybe not only for the fight that he’s fighting, but for what he has done for the sport. Aren’t they out there bragging that he’s the GOAT? Man, if the GOAT is not respected, then who should we respect? I worry if the GOAT is being treated like that, I truly worry if that’s how they treat the GOAT, then those who are not the GOAT, I don’t know, whatever they are, imagine what they are going through.

The basis for Francis Ngannou’s comments stems from reports that Jon Jones was offered only $15 million for a proposed superfight against Alex Pereira, an amount Jones and his team rejected as insufficient. Ngannou has also faced disputes with the UFC and remains at odds with Dana White over contracts. These developments highlight the intense scrutiny the UFC faces regarding its organizational structure.
