Jon Jones on Francis Ngannou
Jon Jones seems to have sparked a lot of controversies when he asked for a better pay-day against the newly crowned heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou, and he said it loud and clear that he won’t fight until he gets what he deserves.
Dana White openly humiliated Jon Jones at the post-fight press conference of UFC 260, he said “If I am Jon Jones watching this at home, I would think about going back to the light-heavyweight.” This comment doesn’t seem to fit well with Jones.
He went to a rage and asked UFC to cut him from his contract, he also accused that working for UFC has been nothing but stressful and humiliating for him, he deleted his Tweets soon after, but the message was loud and clear.
On the recent episode of Wild Ride Clips, he discussed his situation, he explained how UFC is just not ready to negotiate with him, he said that the only reason his fight against Francis Ngannou is going to be such a big hit is that there is a chance that he might knock Jones out.
The host said that Jones looked vincible in his last few fights, and now people believe that somebody would actually defeat him, and Jones agreed and said that the possibility of this happening increases in the heavyweight division.
Jon Jones says the game plan against Francis Ngannou is to move in with the mindset that he will break your jaw
When asked about what would be the game plan for the Francis Ngannou fight, he said, “You need to get comfortable with the worst-case scenario,” and according to Jones the worst case scenario is to accept that he can knock you out and break your jaw.
