It appeared Jon Rahm may have figured out the reason why he hasn’t been able to perform to his standards in the PGA Tour since last December. And it turned out to be due to drones.

Although the Spaniard had been frustrated by the drones during the final round of the LIV Golf event, he finally cracked when his tee shot went straight into the water on his sixth shot. He did not hold back while complaining about the broadcast drones throughout the tournament and blamed its buzzing over his head for the last shot.

Every tournament. It’s f**king incredible. Right on my backswing. These f**king drones every time
Jon Rahm said in his microphone

Judging from the comment made by the golfer on Sunday at the LIV Golf Nashville, it seems this wasn’t the first time he felt distracted by the broadcasting drones. Rahm’s reaction seemed justified since he was within two strokes of the leader at the time when his shot went into the water on the Par 4 6th hole.

Then, the golfer went to make a double-bogey and ended up with the worst score on a hole for the golfers who had already scored till the sixth hole. Due to this, he lagged behind leader Tyrrell Hatton by four shots.

Rahm began the LIV Golf Nashville by scoring four birdies and three bogeys in the first round. After his first 18 holes, he was also placed T20 due to his score of 1 under, six strokes behind Abraham Ancer. As much as he fell behind on his first day, he saw a significant improvement in his performance on the second day.

With nine birdies and one bogey, Rahm went up the ladder to T3 with a score of 9 under. This tied him with Bryson DeChambeau and behind Hatton by four strokes.

Rahm is counted among the top LIV Golf stars, even though he couldn’t succeed in his first tournament. He participated in all nine events throughout the season and finished among the Top 10s.
