If anyone wasn’t aware of how good Khyree Jackson was, they should just ask Minnesota Vikings Jordan Addison. The second-year wide receiver’s recent social media activities hinted that he was confident Jackson would go on to become a star in the NFL.
Unfortunately, 24-year-old Jackson tragically died in a car accident while driving through the highway of George County in Maryland. He along with two former classmates of Dr Henry Wise Junior High School of Maryland, Isaiah Hazel and Anthony Lytton were inside a Dodge Charger, which was brutally damaged as well. Jackson and Hazel both died on the spot while Lytton was taken to the hospital.
A day before the accident, Jordan Addison posted an update on social media, urging Skol [the Vikings fanbase] to keep an eye on Khyree Jackson.

The Minnesota Vikings selected the Alabama and Oregon product in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Although analysts did not expect Jackson to be a nailed-on starter but rather a depth option behind Byron Murphy Jr. and Shaquill Griffin. Sadly, football fans will never get the chance to witness Jackson’s journey through their own eyes.
Jordan Addison was looking forward to the second year in NFL before Khyree Jackson’s tragic death
Addison was a first-round pick for the Vikings in 2023 draft. The USC graduate made a name for himself as a pacey route runner for the Trojans which he showcased during his rookie campaign.

The 22-year-old was in the mix for the Offensive Rookie of the Year award after recording 70 catches for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns. In a recent interview, Addison claimed that he is keen to pick up where he left off last year.
[I have] taken my game to the next level in one year. Last year I wasn't as confident in my releases. I wasn't being decisive and I didn't have a plan when I was coming up to the line [and] I was just freelancing [trying to make something work].Jordan Addison said per ESPN.com’s Kevin Seifert
The Vikings would really heavily on both him and Justin Jefferson to guide rookie quarterback JJ McCarthy. Head coach Kevin O’Connell believes that Addison had a great offseason and is ready for the new challenge.
Jordan [Addison] had as good of an offseason program as [really] you can ask for. [He is] a guy that had a ton of success in Year 1. And really, from a standpoint of getting a little stronger.Kevin O’Connell said
The Vikings will play three pre-season games in August against the Raiders, the Browns, and the Eagles. On September 8, they will travel to the MetLife Stadium to face the New York Giants in Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season.
