Jordan Addison’s cryptic tweet following Vikings loss against Rams sparks speculations
It's only the second year and Jordan Addison appears already tired of playing second best behind Justin Jefferson at Minnesota Vikings.

Jordan Addison appears unhappy at the Minnesota Vikings even though they are flying high in the NFC with a 5-2 record. The second-year wide receiver dropped a massive hint on social media.
Following the Vikings’ loss to the Rams last week, fans scrambled through the internet looking for dirt when they came across a cryptic post from Addison. He shared a photo of himself with the caption “free 3.”
Fans speculated that this may be a sign that he wants more targets. So far, the 22-year-old has 14 receptions for 231 yards and one touchdown this season. Justin Jefferson has 41 receptions, 646 yards, and five touchdowns compared to him.

Addison is closer in numbers with wide receiver #3 Jalen Nailor, who has the same amount of completed catches for 229 yards but three total touchdowns. Both Jefferson and Nailor have played seven games, while he has only appeared in five because of injury.
The social media post surprised a lot of people given the fact that it’s only Addison’s second year in the NFL and he has hardly any leverage to make such demands considering the uproar he created in the months leading up to the new season.
Jordan Addison should focus more on his game
Quarterback Sam Darnold targeted Addison just three times during the Rams game, from which he completed two low-risk catches. Before that, the most receptions he had were three.

However, the Pit and USC graduate needs to grit his teeth and keep showing results; otherwise, he may find himself in choppy waters. It was only a couple of months ago that highway police slapped him with a DUI after he fell asleep at the wheel in front of the Los Angeles airport.
Yet nothing can top the fleeting allegations in the aftermath of rookie Khyree Jackson’s death. Jackson, who tragically passed away in an accident following the draft, became close acquaintances with Addison, as both were around the same age. The wideout even went around saying that the Vikings struck gold with Jackson just a day before the accident.
It painted a bad picture among the fans who suspected a deeper meaning behind his words. Nothing came out of it, and that chapter ended as quickly as it began.
Jordan Addison’s first year in Minnesota was cut above the rest. Only Texans CJ Stroud and Rams Puka Nacua had a better debut campaign offensively compared to the Maryland native. Addison appeared in all 17 games and started 14. He caught 70 passes for 911 yards and scored 10 touchdowns.
