Jordan Henderson COULD miss 12 weeks from now due to groin injury picked up against Everton
Jordan Henderson could be set to miss 3 months out in the sidelines due to the groin injury picked up int the match against Everton. He tried to play on past the pain barrier but was laid low as it seemed to be that he was aggravating the injury. This perfectly encapsulates Liverpool’s current season as just now Fabinho, Naby Keita and Diogo Jota were reported to return soon but now captain Jordan Henderson will go missing for 3 months.
In-Out policy for injuries in Liverpool messing up their campaign terribly
Liverpool’s title defence were in shambles when Virgil van Dijk was injured for the season after Jordan Pickford mindlessly injured him. Liverpool soldiered on bravely, but the injuries didn’t seem to stop coming for them. Due to a defensive crisis, midfielders were uprooted from their natural positions and made to play as centre-backs. Liverpool were robbed of their influence in the middle of the park and now are in their worst form for the last 5 years.
Jordan Henderson’s recent injury will see him miss Liverpool’s major chunk of the business end of the season. Moreover he could also be at risk for missing the Euro 2021 and Gareth Southgate will also have to change his tactics accordingly. Henderson had been having a good season as centre-back and also as a midfielder and his absence will be felt by Liverpool more than England will feel it.
