On Sunday, TNA held its Genesis pay-per-view, which emanated from Texas. At the event, Jordynne Grace lost to Tessa Blanchard in just over 20 minutes. It turns out that was all for Grace in TNA. Her contract was believed to be up by the end of January. That said, The Juggernaut has finished up with the company.
PWInsider is now reporting that the 28-year-old Texan is WWE-bound. Also, with Royal Rumble on the horizon, one can expect her to pull up to the PLE as a surprise entrant in the 30-woman Royal Rumble match. She has already done it in 2024. Entering at #5, Jordynne had an impressive outing.
She got to share a moment with Naomi, who had just dropped the TNA Knockouts World title to Grace only a couple of weeks prior to that. Later in the year, she appeared on NXT to accept Roxanne Perez‘s challenge for the NXT Women’s title at Battleground. However, The Prodigy escaped Grace’s clutches on the D-Day.
A few months later, in September, Grace once again emerged on NXT. This time around, she issued an open challenge for her TNA Knockouts strap. Sol Ruca answered the call. They duked it out until Wendy Choo and Rosemary crashed the title match. By that point, the fans were all but convinced that Grace wouldn’t shy away from signing with WWE once she wrapped up her TNA dates.
Both Triple H and Shawn Michaels are huge admirers of what she brings to the table. Moreover, as it’s known, WWE and TNA have agreed to a multi-year partnership that’d enable wrestlers of NXT and TNA to have unprecedented crossover opportunities. As a result, Grace can still technically wrestle for TNA despite being under a WWE contract.
Fans dream about TNA’s involvement in WWE Royal Rumble 2025
In the joint press release, WWE and TNA noted that talent from both companies will be eligible to appear on weekly TV, viz., NXT and iMPACT!, select WWE PLEs, and TNA PPVs. There was no mention of the main roster WWE Superstars, so they aren’t a part of this deal at the moment.
Nonetheless, the WWE Universe is buzzing about a bunch of TNA stars entering the respective Royal Rumble matches next month. One of the most fascinating scenarios discussed online includes Jeff Hardy benefitting from the crossover and shaking up the men’s Rumble.
Hardy recently told Chris Van Vliet on Insight that he’d like to revisit his rivalry with CM Punk. The Charismatic Enigma pitched himself to go as a heel against a fan-favorite Punk. What if they end up facing each other off at the Royal Rumble?
