As it had already been made clear by her ventures in NXT, former TNA Knockouts World Champion Jordynne Grace has signed with WWE, per Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful. It is believed to be a multi-year deal. In a follow-up, PWInsider has independently confirmed the report with a significant addendum. Grace recently visited the WWE Performance Center last Tuesday.

The 28-year-old was supposedly finalizing her agreement with the company. Grace will travel to Indianapolis this weekend, and one would expect her to officially debut in WWE as part of the 30-woman Royal Rumble match. The Juggernaut was previously lined up for an independent circuit appearance later this week but those plans have been dropped.

Jordynne bid adieu to TNA a few days ago at Genesis. On the PPV, she lost to Tessa Blanchard in a major grudge match that had been long overdue. After the show, the entire TNA crew and stars gave an emotional send-off to the departing wrestler. There’s no denying that TNA gave her a platform to showcase her abilities. She’s just moving on to better opportunities to take off.

However, that doesn’t mean she can’t return to a TNA ring in the future. As revealed via a joint press release, WWE and TNA have announced a working partnership intended at creating unprecedented crossovers for talent in both wrestling promotions. The effects of it are already evident.

Take, for instance, Nathan Frazer and Axiom successfully defended their NXT tag team titles against The Rascalz on iMPACT! last week. Also, there’s a burgeoning rivalry between TNA Knockouts World Champion Masha Slamovich and Cora Jade. Similarly, if Jordynne is initially sent to NXT for a while, she could appear on TNA programming sporadically.

Can Jordynne Grace do the unthinkable this weekend?

It’s all but certain that Jordynne Grace will enter the Royal Rumble match this Saturday. She does know how it works. A year ago, The Last Pure Athlete was in the Rumble, proudly representing TNA as its Knockouts World Champion.

Grace shared a hug with Naomi before they started slugging it out. Who knows if they end up doing that dance again in a few days? The current odds-on favorite to win the Royal Rumble match is Charlotte Flair.

However, with Grace’s potential addition to the field, she’s already a dark horse contender in the books of the fans. What better way would there be to make her WWE debut than to punch a direct entry into WrestleMania? She could then compete for the gold at WWE’s biggest show of the year.
