Jorge Masvidal is all set to share the boxing ring with former UFC rival Nate Diaz. Given the popularity of both the fighters, the hype around the bout is massive. However, YouTube boxer, Jake Paul, is undoubtedly not a fan of this collaboration. The online back and forth between both parties lead to Paul calling out both fighters for an MMA bout
Jorge Masvidal was recently at the MMA Fighting show hosted by Ariel Helwani. During the conversation, Masvidal went on a rant mocking Paul and his fighting credentials.
You can’t even box. Now all of a sudden you’re doing f****** MMA? I’d kick your f****** kneecap off your fragile body. You dumb motherf*****.Jorge Masvidal via MMA Fighting
During one of the pre-fight press conferences, Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz disrespectfully talked about Paul. The ‘Problem Child’ was quick to respond and mentioned that despite being big superstars the pair couldn’t help but bring his name into the conversation for attention. Jake Paul also claimed that Dana white asked Masvidal not to specifically box with him.
Masvidal even mentioned that White and UFC don’t like Paul and that’s the reason they don’t want to make any collaborations. Paul and White have an online feud that goes way back and it seems like White is not over it yet.
Jake Paul’s boxing match with Mike Tyson is delaying his much anticipated PFL MMA debut
Jake Paul is currently scheduled to fight the one and only Mike Tyson in a boxing bout on July 20. The news about the fight got a lot of mixed reactions from fans as well as many experts. However, it seems like both Paul and Tyson are very serious about it. Paul has even started his boxing training in Colorado, with the US Olympic boxing team. However, this has affected his commitments towards PFL and MMA debut.
The manager of PFL, Donn Davis recently stated that Jake Paul will make his MMA debut, but he also acknowledged that plans are on hold because of his fight with Tyson.
He's gotten better. He's doubled down on boxing at the minute, there's no question about it…There was a time when he might have done 50/50, and right now it looks like he might be 90 /10 in boxing and MMADonn Davis via X
Jake Paul irrespective of his antics has proven his ability to draw the public attention toward him. His persona and trash-talking play an important role in selling his fights, making him a valuable asset for PFL. However, right now fans are excited to see him fight 57-year-old Tyson inside the squared circle.
