UFC Vegas 17 is turning out to be an absolute treat for us MMA fans, new and old! Ending the year with a banger, UFC Vegas 17 is building up quite the hype and I totally see why. The latest addition to the main card is a fight between “Jose Aldo” and Marlon Vera” on December 19, 2020, inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The first and former featherweight champion Jose Aldo is ready to get back to his old ways of winning. Fans that came after the “McGregor” era do not realize just how much of a force Aldo really was. The man was undefeated for over a decade, he was UFC featherweight champion 3 times, having been the undisputed champion twice and the interim champion once!

Lately, things have not been looking too great for the former champ. He has lost his last 3 bouts consecutively to “Alexander Volkanovski”, “Marlon Moraes” and “Petr Yan”. His latest defeat being at the hands of Yan on Fight island where he was knocked out in the final round at UFC 251.

With that said, Jose is ready for this fight and will give his best to end the longest losing streak of his career.

Vera is ready to raise his stock

Marlon “Chito” Vera has been steadily gaining a ton of popularity, especially after knocking out the very confident and outspoken “Sugar Sean O’Malley” in the very first round of their fight at UFC 252! The video of his knockout became viral and raised Chito’s stock. After winning, he called out Jose and the matchmakers, initially, were set to have their matchup at UFC 255. He is currently 6-1 in his last seven with his only loss being the controversial split decision to Song Yadong back in May.

It seems though that they decided to rebook it and now, these 2 will be fighting at UFC Vegas 17. The card is stacked with fantastic fights! We have the hype train Khamzat Chimaev fighting “Leon Edwards”, “Geoff Neal” vs. “Stephen Thompson” and more!

Both fighters have a lot at stake here. A win could save Aldo from his losing streak and as for Vera, if he manages to win against a fighter with a big name like Jose, it should propel his career much forward.

Who will you be betting on? Will Chito surprise everyone again with a fantastic win or will Jose get back to his winning ways? We will find out soon!
