Tuesday night saw the regular season of the TGL come to an end. The tech-fused league’s final match saw golf great Tiger Woods and his team Jupiter Links GC take on the Atlanta Drive GC. Among some big names present in the crowd was 2024 NFL MVP Josh Allen.
The Buffalo Bills quarterback had another great season on the field. His strong showings with the Bills saw him win the 2024 NFL MVP Award ahead of Lamar Jackson of the Baltimore Ravens. With the season now over, the American star is now trying to keep himself entertained.
He, Sam Darnold, Dalton Kincaid, and some of his friends found themselves attending the TGL match on Tuesday night at the SoFi Center in Florida. As the video of him went viral on social media, some suggested that he was having a bachelor party before his wedding with Hailee Steinfeld. However, there are no confirmed reports about this.

Allen is a huge fan of golf and has been seen playing golf during his free times. He has even taken part in pro-ams and shown off his skills as a golfer.
Last year, he played alongside Tiger Woods at the Genesis Invitational Pro-Am. After the round, Woods would laud him and praised his athletic mentality to get better in this sport.

Allen and his buddies were cheering for Woods and his team during their game against the Atlanta Drive GC. Unfortunately, despite their support, Jupiter Links GC were blown away again and lost the game by a huge 9-1 scoreline.
With this loss, they finished the first season of the TGL, 5th in the standings with just one win from their 5 games. That one win came in overtime against Rory McIlroy‘s Boston Common Golf, who finished bottom of the table with no wins.
Billy Horschel jokingly claims Josh Allen and his friends were rooting against him during the match
In the final matchup of the regular season of the TGL, Billy Horschel and his team went up against Tiger Woods and his team. After a slow start, they would emerge as the clear winners. Following the game, the 8-time PGA Tour winner would speak about Josh Allen and claimed that he and his friends were rooting against him.

Given the relationship between Allen and Woods, it would not come as a surprise that the NFL star would be rooting for the 15-time major champion. This meant that anyone who came up against him would become their rivals.
As the match progressed, Allen and his friends seemingly switched sides and cheered on Horschel and the Atlanta Drive GC. While speaking after the match, the golfer pointed towards the NFL stars and claimed there was some trash talking before.
They are not my cheering squad. They were booing me at the very beginning, but I think we brought them around as we played. Hey, I said you guys came on our side as the night went along.
Billy Horschel said
Horschel later admitted that they were ‘awesome’ during the game and highlighted the impact of the TGL.
No, Josh Allen. His boys are great all night. They were awesome. They were funny. I mean this is what it’s all about, people come out watch us play something unique different and enjoy.

Horschel and his team will now play against the Bay Area Golf Club in the semifinals of the TGL on March 17. Meanwhile, the New York Golf Club will take on the Los Angeles Golf Club. The winners of the semifinal matches will face off in a “best-of-three” final to determine the first champions of the TGL.
