When Josh Allen won the MVP last season, Buffalo Bills fans believed they were now going to witness their star quarterback lead their team to the ultimate glory, a Super Bowl win.

They felt he was winning both on the field and off, after his marriage to Hollywood star Hailee Steinfeld. After leading his team to 4 straight wins, with their season-opener being their most impressive to date, those hopes grew.

After those 4 wins, they lost twice, and questions started to arise about the state of the Bills’ offense. Some believed the team’s schemes were hindering their superstar quarterback.

Wide receiver Keon Coleman‘s struggles and the rest of the wideouts’ being unable to get open pointed the finger squarely at the coaching staff. In Week 10, those fingers turned towards Josh Allen.

If one were to look at his stats, he seemed to have a good game. There were some moments of magic that football fans have been accustomed to.

However, his lack of precision on passes, as well as his red zone interception, had those same fans wondering if he was going through a crisis.

Allen used up all of 9 minutes in the 3rd quarter to drive his team 77 yards towards the Miami Dolphins’ end zone. After not making any progress, the star QB received the snap, pump faked once, and then threw a pass towards where Dawson Knox was.

The only problem was that it was a tad high, and instead of the tight end, it was the Dolphins’ safety, Ifeatu Melifonwu, who grabbed the ball with both his hands. Had the Bills scored, they could have reduced the deficit to 9 points.

Fans tear into Josh Allen for his questionable performances

Usually, a 9-point deficit is not a problem for someone like Josh Allen. They were playing against a lackluster Miami Dolphins defense, which means they could have turned it around and won the game.

Instead, Josh Allen threw an interception to a team that is not known for its takeaways. That turnover summed up how the superstar QB performed all game.

He did register 2 touchdowns, but they came in the 4th quarter. What irked fans even more was that when his defense intercepted Tua Tagovailoa, Allen fumbled the ball in the ensuing drive.

Again, they lost a chance to come back in the game. The Dolphins took the opportunity to score, which effectively sealed the game. Frustrated fans have been furious with Allen. Examples of those irritated comments are below:

If Josh Allen and his Bills offense struggled against a lowly Miami Dolphins defense, their next run of games should send chills down their spines.

Their next 3 games are against top defenses. If they lose, their playoff hopes could take a major hit. The team has to figure out how to get their minds straight.

Josh Allen looks ‘depressed’ after embarrassing loss

After the game, it was natural that reporters would be looking to ask Josh Allen about his game, and particularly about those turnovers. When he arrived, he was looking ‘depressed’ as he said this:

Anytime you turn it over 3 times, two in the red zone… That’s a recipe for disaster.

Josh Allen said

He knows that his turnovers played a big part in the manner in which the Buffalo Bills. The fact that they could not defeat a team that has struggled mightily against other average teams suggests the Bills have a lot of work to do.

For Allen, it might be time for him to rethink the way he is playing. His game is not as fluid as it was in the first four games, and that has led to this run of poor performances.
