Apart from his endeavors on the football field, the Buffalo Bills’ Josh Allen is known as one of the most beloved quarterbacks in the NFL for his kind nature and love towards his fans. As a heart of Buffalo city, Allen genuinely cares for his community and he never fails to prove it.
On Thursday, the quarterback won many hearts for his kind gesture for a mourning fan who reached out to him on social media. A social media user shared a screenshot of the text message he sent to the Bills’ signal caller on April 27, regarding the tragic death of his 14-year-old nephew, who was a huge Bills fan.
At his funeral, his mourning father dressed him in an Allen jersey in the open casket. The user reached out to Allen to ask him for his signed jersey for the father named Mike as something to remember his late son.
Although the user did not have much expectations, he was stunned when a package was delivered to Mike’s house with Allen’s signed jersey in it. The quarterback also responded to the message he received on Instagram, in a heartwarming note offering his condolences for the loss.
The user shared the screenshot of Allen’s message along with the signed jersey on social media and it already gained 350,000 views. But the quarterback was truly moved by the message and he knew that his small gesture would mean a lot to the mourning father.
Josh Allen’s task for the Bills red zone challenge
With the release of the 2024 NFL schedule, it appears the Bills and Allen would need major involvement ahead of the season. The team, who started the 2023 season on a good note with 65% of the trips to the 20-yard line for a touchdown, struggled majorly in the second half of the season.
As the percentage reduced to 54.5%, they finished at an 11-6 season record and clinched their fifth consecutive playoff appearance. But one visible drawback that the Bills struggled with last season was the lack of red zone targets.
This offseason with the departure of star receivers Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, the situation in the upcoming season isn’t going to be easy for Allen. Given, their offseason signings and drafts hardly include a strong offensive weapon threatening to the opposing defense.
