New York Knicks stars Josh Hart and Jalen Brunson have enjoyed their off-season. The two had a good time on their podcast. Recently, the two attended the Fanatics Fest alongside NFL legend Tom Brady and world-famous rapper Lil Wayne. These famous personalities spoke about various topics, with the most entertaining one being about the New Orleans Pelicans.

Interestingly, the Pelicans have been attempting to build themselves into a playoff contender. However, they have suffered numerous setbacks over the last five years. They just faced another setback in terms of attracting top talents. Former Pelican and current Knicks star Hart told Lil Wayne and Brady at the Fanatics Fest that nobody is happy to be traded to the Pelicans.

I don’t think you’ll ever hear anyone say they were excited to be traded to New Orleans. I wasn't. The only thing I was excited about was rolling around New Orleans, listening to Lil Wayne, and going to every game.

Hart’s comments regarding the Pelicans also come from his stint with them in the NBA. Hart averaged 10.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in two and a half seasons with the Pelicans. The team moved him to the Portland Trail Blazers as part of the CJ McCollum deal that brought him to New Orleans.

Additionally, the Knicks would then acquire Hart in 2023, and he has quickly proven himself as an important player. His rebounding ability has made him a vital piece to the Knicks roster. Moreover, Hart’s contract may have the best value in all of the NBA due to his impactful production on the court.

Josh Hart signed a 4-year contract extension with the Knicks in 2023

Josh Hart of the New York Knicks has become an integral player for their squad, along with Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle. However, before his move to the Knicks, Hart played for the New Orleans Pelicans and the Portland Trail Blazers. The 29-year-old experienced two mediocre stints with the Pelicans and TrailBlazers before making his coveted move to the Knicks.

In addition, Hart found the Knicks his perfect team to play for. In 2023, he signed a 4-year contract extension. Hart’s agents, Aaron Mintz, Dave Spahn, and Steven Heumann of CAA Sports, informed ESPN that he had signed a four-year, $81 million contract deal with the Knicks. Hart and the Knicks performed admirably this past 2023-24 season.

The Knicks were on top form this past 2023-24 season as they defeated the Philadelphia Sixers in round 1 of the NBA Playoffs. However, injuries to their star players crumbled their chances of having a go at the NBA title. The Indiana Pacers defeated them in a thrilling 7-game series. However, Hart and Co. will be looking to make amends this upcoming 2024-25 NBA season.
