Tyrese Haliburton and Josh Hart got into an exchange on Instagram
There has been a subtle rivalry between the New York Knicks’ Josh Hart and Indiana Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton during this season. The duo faced each other in the second round of playoffs and have had their share of words for each other. However, now, long after the duo ended their respective seasons, Hart and Haliburton had a banter on social media.
Tyrese Haliburton took to his Instagram to share some memories from his fourth season in the league as he captioned it “end of chapter 4”. The Pacers guard also added some pictures of his outfits throughout the season, which caught Josh Hart‘s attention.
Hart did not hesitate, as within an hour he commented on the post, which started a back-and-forth between the two.
"Started and ended with trash fits," Josh Hart wrote."You became an analyst after playing us," Tyrese Haliburton wrote back."And somehow we both won the same amount of games," Josh Hart responded.Josh Hart and Tyrese Haliburton’s conversation
As Hart trolled Haliburton’s outfits, the Pacers guard also did not miss a beat as he called out ‘analyst’ Hart. Just a few days ago, Hart joined ESPN’s NBA countdown during the finals. Haliburton was referring to Hart’s Instagram caption, where he joked about quitting basketball to be an analyst.
However, Hart’s response may have cut deeper as he reminded Haliburton of the Pacers’ playoff record. The Pacers defeated the Knicks in seven games in the Eastern Conference semifinals but got swept in the next round. The exchange may have caused some damage for the players, but fans certainly enjoyed the conversation.
Josh Hart called out Tyrese Haliburton for getting swept against the Celtics
This comment on Instagram was not the first time Hart called out Haliburton for losing 0-4 in the Eastern Conference finals. After the series was over, the topic was discussed on Hart and Jalen Brunson‘s podcast, the Roommates Show. During the discussion, co-host Matt Hillman revealed feeling good after the Pacers were swept.
Hillman asked the Knicks duo whether they felt the same and Brunson revealed that the pair had a conversation with Haliburton. Brunson ‘felt better’ as Hart called out Haliburton face-to-face. Hart stated that the Knicks would have played better if they were the ones in the series.
I think I said something like, ‘Damn, y’all couldn’t get one win? Y’all beat us Game 7, whatever, y’all mad hype. Y'all couldn’t get one win after three leads in the fourth?Josh Hart said
The Pacers had three blowouts in the four losses against the Celtics. The team came extremely close multiple times but failed in the last moments. Haliburton’s injury played a huge role in the deficit. The guard now has to come back stronger in the next season to avoid such jibs from Hart.
