Nowadays, the name Joy Taylor invokes jitters among fans, especially after a lawsuit detailed her actions at Fox Sports and its cable arm, FS1, over the last few years. She was one of their top hosts, and managed to hold down Undisputed first, and then Speak.
Her time in Undisputed ended after, ironically, disputes with Skip Bayless became a problem. Again, ironically, Bayless is also one of the prime defendants of the lawsuit filed by FS1’s former make-up artist, Noushin Faraji.
The 73-year-old left FS1 last year after his contract was not renewed post a string of disastrous ratings. However, Taylor continued to host Speak alongside Paul Pierce and Keyshawn Johnson. Now that will no longer happen.
As per The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand, Fox Sports has let go of the 38-year-old host. Her contract was winding down, and coupled with the lawsuit that revealed her alleged scandalous methods to rise to the top, they decided to end their relationship.
The network had already parted ways with Charlie Dixon, its former top programming executive this April. Despite that, Taylor, as well as Emmanuel Acho, another host mentioned in the lawsuit, continued to host their respective shows as the network internally discussed their options.

The decision comes as part of a series of moves that will also see the network’s cable arm, FS1, cancel “Speak,” the show Taylor co-hosts, as well as its two morning programs.

This could possibly bring the curtain down on Taylor’s career in the broadcasting industry. None of the major networks would want to deal with this scandal as long as it is fresh in the memory of sports fans.
The other option is to switch to podcasts. She was hosting a podcast with Taylor Rooks. But since the lawsuit emerged, the show has not produced any further content. Rooks is moving to Amazon next season to lead their NBA coverage.
Fox Sports cancels 3 shows along with Joy Taylor’s exit
After Fox Sports let go of Joy Taylor, they also confirmed to Marchand that her show on FS1, Speak, will no longer continue. Along with Speak, two more shows, The Facility, and Breakfast Ball, have also been axed.

The Facility was helmed by Emmanuel Acho, who was named in the lawsuit as one who helped Taylor rise through the ranks. It is possible that Acho’s involvement in the scandal, coupled with lower-than-expected ratings, led to this decision.
Breakfast Ball’s hosts had no involvement in Faraji’s lawsuit. Therefore, it could simply be a decision based on ratings. This means Pierce, Johnson, along with the Breakfast Ball’s Craig Carton, Mark Schlereth, Danny Parkins, and The Facility’s Chase Daniel, James Jones and LeSean McCoy are out of their jobs.
All of this stems from the actions of Emmanuel Acho, Joy Taylor, Skip Bayless, and Charlie Dixon, as described in Faraji’s lawsuit. Even though the shows have ended, the latter three are still in the midst of the lawsuit.
Joy Taylor, Skip Bayless, and Emmanuel Acho are not completely off the hook
Charlie Dixon was the prime accused in Noushin Faraji’s lawsuit against Fox Sports. Skip Bayless and Joy Taylor are co-defendants, whereas Emmanuel Acho was mentioned quite a few times. They all might not be working with FS1 anymore, but still have to face the legal system.
The lawsuit has not arrived at any solution. That means Faraji’s attorneys will still go after those involved until a resolution can be agreed upon. By letting them go, Fox Sports will be defending themselves on their own.
So would the others, who would now be forced to pay for their own legal requirements. Bayless has kept a brave face and continues to feature on his podcast. The others will now be looking for options as they will need to finance their legal expenses.
