Gilbert Arenas finally married Melli Monaco in a private ceremony. The Golden State Warriors player surprised his followers with their wedding pictures. Joy Taylor, among many others, posted in the comments section to express their wishes to the newlyweds.
Gilbert Arenas took to his Instagram handle on Monday to amaze his followers with wedding ceremony pictures. The former NBA player kept the caption short and sweet as he updated Melli Monaco to Mrs. Arenas. The carousel consisted of seven pictures of the event with Arenas dressed in a blue suit while Monaco went for a shoulderless wedding dress.
Fox Sports media personality Joy Taylor in addition to many others wished the couple the best. Besides her, the entire NBA world gathered around to add to the couple’s big day.
Shaunie Henderson, Larry Hughes Sr., Dwight Howard, JR Smith, Jalen Rose, Mark Jackson, and Kendrick Perkins were only some in the plethora. The wedding was undoubtedly a long time coming for the couple. Back in August 2024, Arenas decided to pop the question to Monaco in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris. As things turned out, the latter gladly accepted and even surprised him with a ring of her own.

The two have reportedly been dating since 2022. Peculiarly, the individuals met when Monaco was on a YouTube Live. Prior to Monaco, Arenas was engaged to Laura Govan, with whom he shares four children. However, the two decided to part ways in 2018.

With the romantic proposal that was Gilbert Arenas’, one would think him to be as composed as one could be. However, that was far from the case for the former NBA athlete. In the first episode of Gil’s Arena post the proposal, Arenas shed some light on his proposal.
Right off the bat, Gilbert Arenas shared the nervousness he felt throughout. Additionally, he guiltily admitted to having to make a Google search to figure out the ring finger. Not only that, he confessed to turning around to fully understand which finger he had to put a ring on.
In his defense, he said a person could forget everything in such straining situations. Furthermore, he shared the build-up of his anxiousness stemming from his belief that he would never get married. A year later now, the NBA veteran found his way to the wedding aisle.
