Clash of the heavyweights : Juan Espino to take on Alexander Romanov at UFC on ESPN 22
Juan Espino, The Ultimate Fighter 28 winner will be taking on Alexander Romanov at UFC on ESPN 22. The 40-year old heavyweight will be looking forward to making one last push towards breaking into the heavyweight top 15. Both the fighters took to social media to announce their fight.
UFC on ESPN 22 is headlined by Robert Whittaker vs Kelvin Gastelum, (Gastelum stepped in place of Paulo Costa after the latter pulled out due to illness). Both Espino and Romanov have a massive win loss record percentage. Espino has just one loss to his name, whereas Romanov is still undefeated.

Espino is coming off a victory over Jeff Hughes at UFC 253, last year. He won the fight via. a scarf hold choke in the very first round of the fight. Prior to that he had made his UFC debut at the Ultimate Fighter 28 Finale against Justin Frazier, winning via a straight armlock. Espino is a highly talented grappler and he deals in submissions!
Alexander Romanov, on the other hand is unbeaten in his professional MMA career. He is currently 13-0, with a record of 2-0 in the UFC. The Moldovan made his debut against Roque Martinez in September 2020 and then went on to face Marcos Rogerio de Lima, beating both via. submission.
