Juan Soto has reportedly turned down a massive contract extension thenceforth the team is now open to hearing trade offers that come his way. The Washington National right fielder according to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic rejected a swooping 15-year, $440 million deal. This is the third time in this month that Soto has baffled the Washington Nationals.

The Washington Nationals have said that they would be open to trade for Juan Soto if and when he rejects their offer. Soto could be the highest-paid player in baseball history in terms of total money, and he would have been the 20th-highest-paid player on an annual basis with a salary of $29.3 million if would have accepted the offer by the Nationals. For now, he is under team control through 2024.
