Group C at the 2024 Euros was undeniably a ‘snooze fest’ for many. With the recurring goalless draws and matches that failed to excite, fans were of the opinion that no team from the group deserved to qualify from a bunch of England, Denmark, Slovenia and Serbia. England were mediocre against Slovenia as they were held to a goalless draw at RheinEnergieStadion.
Jude Bellingham has been the poster boy for The Three Lions ahead of the tournament. With multiple PR campaigns and advertisements released ahead of the competition, fans were expecting the player to drop a masterclass in their final game of the group stage. However, a quick look at the No.10’s statistics revealed that he has been mediocre for England.

Over three games, the player only managed to make one shot on target and create a single chance. Fans were dumbfounded that a Ballon d’Or favorite could have such regrettable stats while playing for a tournament favorite like England.
As for the game against Slovenia, only a tenth of Bellingham’s passes went forward while he also lost possession 16 times (worst in his team).
Fans react to Jude Bellingham’s shoddy display against Slovenia
Fans were in for a long night of football as England took on Slovenia for the final matchday in Group C. Either side failed to make any significant attempts on goal, with the game ending 0-0. Looking back at Jude Bellingham’s performance in the tournament, a fan commented that Bellingham being a Ballon d’Or favorite was baffling.

Another claimed that the award should be canceled rather than handing it to someone like Bellingham. Rival fans criticized Bellingham for being a system player who only thrives in Real Madrid’s environment. Several fans wanted him to be dropped from the starting line-up and hoped that Gareth Southgate saw the light before it was too late.
Another supporter highlighted a moment in the match where he made an irrelevant pass, but the commentator chose to praise his technique and passing ability. It was surprising to a few that someone so good in a Real Madrid shirt failed to make basic passes against Slovenia. Alongside Bellingham, fans also wanted Bukayo Saka out of the starting XI.
