Carlo Ancelotti opens up about Real Madrid’s penalty struggles, following Jude Bellingham’s recent miss
While Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti was pleased with the club’s brilliant 2-1 comeback win over Valencia, he opened up about their spot-kick struggles this season. It comes after Jude Bellingham missed another penalty in the 55th minute of their match against Valencia.
Los Blancos have failed to score three out of their last four spot-kicks, highlighting the issues. Prior to Bellingham’s recent miss, Kylian Mbappe had missed two consecutive penalties against Liverpool and Athletic Club. Speaking to reporters after the recent win, Ancelotti expressed concern, and surprisingly added that he would now take up the responsibility of choosing who takes the spot-kicks.
Nonetheless, the Los Blancos will aim to win the Spanish league title after consolidating their place on top of the La Liga table. They next face Deportiva Minera in a Copa del Rey encounter, followed by a Spanish Super Cup match against Mallorca.
