No footballer is as confident and composed in front of the camera as Real Madrid star Jude Bellingham. The 21-year-old showed unreal maturity and composure as he spoke to the press after claiming the UEFA Super Cup.
Goals from Federico Valverde and Kylian Mbappe sealed the deal for the Los Blancos as the latter also picked up his first trophy on his debut. Following the win, Bellingham confidently spoke to the press, pointing out what he was taking away from the game.
Second half it all came together, we were brilliant. It's gonna be a long year and it's what we wanna do. But come Sunday, straight back to work.Jude Bellingham told reporter Becky Ives
Bellingham was rather impressive in his first competitive outing for the new season, as he picked up an important assist in the second half.
After being cornered at the edge of the penalty area, the Englishman did well to set up Mbappe for his first-ever goal, as an inviting pass to the edge of the box was blasted into the roof of the net by the Frenchman.
Jude Bellingham ready to do ‘anything’ for Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti claimed his 14th trophy as Real Madrid manager with the 2-0 win against Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup. With the win, the Italian is now the manager with the joint-most titles in history for the club. He is only equaled by Miguel Munoz, who was in charge of the club in the 1960s.
Following the win, Jude Bellingham went on the record to state that he’s willing to do anything his manager asks. The player also added that it was ‘destined’ for Mbappe to score and that his hard work will not be in vain.
I'll do whatever Ancelotti wants. I'll play anywhere, it's not a problem.Jude Bellingham said in a post-match interview
Ancelotti also heaped praise on the former Paris Saint-Germain man, stating that he has the ability to surpass 50 goals for Real Madrid this season. Mbappe was heavily criticized for having a ‘poor’ Euros with France in Germany. With the win, Ancelotti also became the manager with the most UEFA Super Cup titles in history (5). Madrid play their first League game of the season against RCD Mallorca on Sunday.
