Julian Edelman was at the FOX Sports booth before the preseason game between the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints. He answered several questions about the game and the favorites for the Super Bowl in Louisiana next year.

The former New England Patriots wide receiver knows a thing or two about playing in a Super Bowl. He played in four of them, winning three, and was named the MVP after recording 10 passes for 141 yards against the Los Angeles Rams.

Edelman, known for not taking any prisoners in his statements, dropped a bombshell that left even the host poker-faced for a split second. He called out Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson for not delivering in the playoffs despite being league MVP twice.

We need to see Lamar Jackson [win games], who's been on a milk carton in the playoffs. He's missing.

Edelman’s not wrong because, as much as Ravens fans hate to admit it, Jackson always gets lost during clutch moments. The 27-year-old has a post-season record of 2 wins and 4 losses from 6 games in 6 years. It’s not the sort of statistics one would associate with arguably the best-ever dual-threat quarterback to play in the NFL, according to Cam Newton.

Julian Edelman names the team that will win the next Super Bowl

Besides doing his best to rile up the Ravens fans, Edelman also spilled the beans about which team he was going to put his money on to win the Super Bowl. It’s an easy guess and a team that has proved him wrong several times before.

I've learned my lesson. I'm never betting against the Chiefs again.

Edelman’s not alone; even his former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick is confident that Patrick Mahomes will win the next Super Bowl for the Chiefs, securing the three-peat. However, Belichick listed one area that could prove to be the Achilles heel for the Kansas franchise.

I thought offensively, it looks like it's just going to be an effort to get the young guys' timing with Pat [Patrick Mahomes] so they're ready to go and ready to go early against Baltimore [Ravens], the big opener. I think the bigger issues are going to be on defense.

It makes the Week 1 game even more fun because there’s a replay of the 2023 AFC Championship game. The Ravens will travel to Arrowhead and face the Chiefs, where Jackson can prove to Edelman that he can defeat the best player in the NFL.
