Jurgen Klopp believes Chelsea are favourites to win the Premier League and praises their squad

Chelsea Football club at the moment is the arguably the best team in the Premier League. The West London giant’s are on an absolute roll rights now under Frank Lampard.

Yet another fantastic 3-1 win over long-standing rivals Leeds United showed that their was no love lost between the two. Three goals and three points means Chelsea go right at the top of the League.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp has definitely been impressed with the Chelsea show and was all praise for them and close north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Klopp admits it’s going to be a much tougher run this season given that both clubs have invested heavily in bringing in new blood to the squad. The German coach said that with the amount of quality Chelsea have they are favourites to lift the title.

In his pre match conference he said –

“If I watch football games at the moment then Chelsea, for me, look like favorites,” Klopp told reporters ahead of Liverpool’s home game against Wolves.

They have the biggest squad, great players playing well together after a rusty start, and they are full on. They have unbelievable opportunities to change in games and make changes from one game to the other, so that is it.”

Chelsea and Liverpool have already met during the start of the season wherein Liverpool defeated them at Stamford Bridge with Sadio Mane scoring twice.

However since then Chelsea have improved a lot and are currently on a 16 game unbeaten run. Now that’s turning tables around in a flash.

Speaking of Liverpool looking to chase or catching up with other teams Klopp said –

“I don’t feel we are chasing anyone at the moment, or that anyone is chasing us. Pressure is there for us, but it’s about how much you think about that pressure, to be honest,” said Klopp.

He stressed that they are not concerned about how other clubs are playing bit solely focused on Thier performance at the moment.
