Jurgen Klopp‘s perfect farewell may have been ruined. However, the German manager was all smiles in his second-last press conference as Liverpool boss.
In a clip that has gone viral on social media, Klopp’s witty comment is followed by the entire group of journalists bursting out in laughter. Fans too have seen the funny side of things and commended the manager for it.
The clip begins with Klopp coming in for the press conference and immediately apologizing for being late. When a journalist reminded Klopp that it’s not the first time this has happened, his hilarious reply had the reporter and his colleagues gasping for air.

Seconds after the laughter died down in the room, Klopp added that he was held back by a media commitment and that it was one of ‘them’ (journalists) that was responsible.
Liverpool are currently 5 points behind Arsenal in the title race and unlikely to reclaim top spot. Their final two games are against Aston Villa and Wolves.
Jurgen Klopp ‘excited’ for special Liverpool farewell later this month
After nine long and successful years with Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp announced his decision to part ways with the club at the end of the season. While the club have already found his successor in Arne Slot, two games remain in the Premier League under his managerial control. Even though farewells can be a sad affair, Klopp expressed that he was looking forward to the event!
The farewell event named ‘An evening with Jurgen Klopp and Special Guests’ will be held at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool. The program will feature several artists and performances including that of award-winning actor and singer Alfie Boe. The event will be hosted by Liverpool fan, comedian and presenter John Bishop.

Klopp leaves Liverpool knowing very well that he is one of the main reasons why they have a Premier League title and a sixth UEFA Champions League among others.
