Jurgen Klopp opens up candidly about the Naby Keita substitution against Real Madrid

Naby Keita
Liverpool faced a difficult night against Real Madrid CF in the UEFA Champions League quarter finals stage. The Spanish club defeated the Reds 3-1 at their home Stadium with Vinicius junior and Asensio scoring.
Real Madrid will be back at Anfield after a week. The grand stadium has witnessed several glorious European nights and Liverpool fans will be once again hoping for the same.
Jurgen Klopp speaks about the Naby Keita situation
To say Naby Keita had a horrible game against Real Madrid is an understatement. The midfielder was completely off track and was substituted in the first half itself. Jurgen Klopp has now revealed that he talked with Naby Keita after the game about his performance.
Thiago Alcantara came on to replace Naby Keita in the 43rd minute and Jurgen Klopp says that the decision to bring him on was a tactical one. Keita may find himself on the bench as Aston Villa will come to Anfield in the Premier League this weekend.
“Naby showed it. Not sure if he did it very often to the full extent but he played great games for us, important games, scored important goals. That’s all the truth.
“You are asking the question probably because of the early substitution in the last game. That was just a decision I made in that moment. We had to sort the game for us, and it was difficult to do that without making a change.
“We spoke yesterday and everything is OK. I explained the decision and he accepted it. Now we carry on.”
