“Just his gameplay”: Kawhi Leonard reasons idolizing Allen Iverson


Every fan of the NBA is once a while inspired by Kawhi Leonard. His is one of the most perfect shooters in the game. The Los Angeles Clippers star is now taking his game to a new level. He is emerging as one of the great leaders as well. Despite their previous season’s performance in the playoffs, they are determined to get back stronger. Their tussle for the top spot between LA Lakers and Utah Jazz has definitely given them a scope to compete harder.
Kawhi Leonard has recently broken the norm and spoken about idolizing Allen Iverson. He revealed how he grew up similar to the Hall of famer. Klaw liked watching him play. In the post-match interview Leonard was asked why he idolized him. To this he said, “Just his gameplay, how hard he played. He played both ends, off-the-ball, getting steals. Just seeing him with the 76ers, bringing them to the finals, and carrying them by himself. That just resonated to me how hard he played and his will to not give up.” Kawhi Leonard and Allen Iverson have so much in common.

Kawhi Leonard has really been a fan of Iverson. Both of them were known for their hairstyles as well. They individually are great defenders and isolation players. And the best part, Kawhi is carrying the Clippers like Iverson did while rescuing the Toronto Raptors. LA Clippers went all braced against the Minnesota Timberwolves today. The seemed slipping from the Clippers side to the Timberwolves. But Kawhi braved all odds and dropped 36 massive points. He pulled a win out of a sure short loss.
Kawhi Leonard is averaging 34.5 MPG this season. While Paul George is still out, it all depends on Kawhi leading the team. He is a scoring machine and undoubtedly one of the most favourite guards in the game.
