Game 7s have been ones that have been difficult for the Canadian side. The team has a 12-15 record in Game 7. However, they have lost each of their 6 Game 7s.

Out of these 6 defeats, 3 have come against the Boston Bruins, including last year. The team came back from 3-2 down to force a Game 7. An overtime goal from David Pastrnak handed them another defeat and eliminated them from the playoffs. Their last Game 7 win came against the Ottawa Senators in 2004.

The Maple Leafs will have home advantage as Game 7 will now take place at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The winners of this series will face the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final.
