On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Los Angeles Chargers 20-10 to keep their winning streak alive at Acrisure Stadium. With the win, the Steelers go 3-0 up in the NFL regular season for the first time since 2020, when they recorded a franchise-best of 11-0.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are comfortably sitting atop the AFC North above the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens. The Steelers are one of the five teams who remain unbeaten in the league so far. The others are the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills, Seattle Seahawks, and Minnesota Vikings. Moving forward with the same pace, we could see them making the postseason as group winners.
Justin Fields, the starting quarterback, has been impeccably good after his disastrous stints in Chicago. Fields has been quietly proving why he should remain as their top quarterback with a pass completion rate above 70%. He threw a TD as well as ran for another.
After the game, the 25-year-old from Georgia noted that he felt calmer and more collected in Pittsburgh. He further said that he has a sense of peace and he’s not internally rushing into things.
I’ve grown a lot over the past year, the past few months so I’m definitely feeling a lot more confident when I’m out on the field. It means a lot, but at the end of the day it’s not just me winning games. I’m just happy to be a part of this team, this organization. I’m definitely looking forward to keeping it going versus Indy.Justin Fields said, via Austin Hertzog of PennLive.com
Fields admitted that he is not the only one contributing to the Steelers’ success in a group that includes Super Bowl contenders like the San Francisco 49ers. The Steelers’ defense has been stellar, limiting the Chargers to 168 yards, while the offense had them on the ropes.
Justin Fields’ performance spews bad news for Russell Wilson
Fields is not the Steelers’ starting quarterback, it is Russell Wilson. Wilson opened the doors for the Steelers when he sustained a calf injury before the opener. Now, the door might be closed for Wilson after all.
Tony Romo noted that Fields is emerging as a monster QB in adverse situations. Rex Ryans, former NFL coach said that he is developing into one of the scariest players in the league with his transition from an athlete to a quarterback.

Fields has shown a dramatic change from his time in the Bears, winning three straight games for the first time in his career.
Although several people still want Wilson to start as he gets healthy, Fields is strongly changing fans’ opinions. The Steelers will try to keep the momentum when they play the Indianapolis Colts, who grabbed their first win against Fields’ ex-team Bears.
