Justin Herbert and Madison Beer are stepping out. The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback and two-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter made their first official event debut on Saturday night, attending the Clive Davis annual pre-Grammy gala.
The pair sparked dating rumors in August 2025 when they were first photographed together at one of Beer’s music video shoots in Los Angeles. Later that month, Herbert and Beer were spotted going to a friend’s house casually with a red wine in hand.
In October, they made it official with a quick peck on the sidelines amid Herbert’s game against the Washington Commanders. They have since been on dates, including being courtside at NBA games and cozying up in the lounge during the World Series.
Beer, who recently released her third studio album “Locket,” was clad in a strapless evening gown, while Herbert was very gentlemanly in a dress shirt and a blazer. She’s set to embark on a world tour in May with 32 shows scheduled across Europe and North America.

In addition to Beer and Herbert, Clive Davis’ gala was star-studded by all means. Heidi Klum, Martha Stewart, Bebe Rexha, and Lizzo were also in attendance at the event. The gala was more than a gala; it turned into a concert of sorts at one point.
The gala, one of the few events that weren’t canceled last year amid Palisade fires, kicked off this year with a tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, headlined by Machine Gun Kelly and Jelly Roll. The event later featured a video speech from former American president Barack Obama and more performances to round out the night.
Alex Warren, Olivia Dean, and John Legend had all taken the stage. One of the highlights of the day was Don Lemon, who was released a few days back after his arrest following an anti-ICE protest in Minnesota, received a long standing ovation.
Fans connect Justin Herbert’s expressionless face to early playoff exit
The Los Angeles Chargers (11-6) made the playoffs as the seventh wild-card team, drawing the New England Patriots in the wild-card round. The Chargers, despite being the fifth-best defense in the league, went down to the Patriots in a closely fought game.

The loss was marked by several questionable decisions and costly mistakes. In the opening drive, wideout Ladd McConkey broke free across the field with ample space for what could have been a significant gain or even a touchdown. But Herbert failed to pull the trigger, instead opting for a modest nine-yard run.
He struggled to manage the pocket effectively and repeatedly put himself in vulnerable positions. The most scrutinized sequence came late in the fourth quarter on a critical 4th-and-9 near midfield. Once again, Herbert failed to deliver under pressure. Patriots defensive lineman Milton Williams broke through the protection and brought him down for a drive-ending sack, extinguishing any remaining hopes of a comeback.
That sack handed New England possession, allowing rookie quarterback Drake Maye to later throw a clinching touchdown pass and seal the game. And fans think he was thinking about that play amid the pre-Grammy bash. Or about his offensive line.

Justin Herbert has helped the Chargers make the postseason three times in the last seven seasons. Counting the loss to the Patriots this year, the Chargers have lost all three times. Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars knocked them out 31-30 in 2022. Last year’s exit in the wild-card game was unlike the Jaguars game; the Texans dominated them 32-12 to eliminate them.
In seven years, Herbert played three playoff games, and he’s yet to win one of those.
