Have no fear, Justin Jefferson is here. This should be the motto for the Minnesota Vikings. Although Jefferson’s primary trait is being an elite receiver, he also has a beast of a right arm.
The Vikings are searching for a quarterback after veteran Kirk Cousins left to join the Atlanta Falcons earlier this year. General manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah pulled some strings and acquired Sam Darnold from free agency for a one-year deal. However, the fans aren’t too thrilled about the prospect of Darnold as their starting signal caller.
Well, the Vikings’ search might be over, and the answer is right in their backyard. Justin Jefferson could be the one who can step up as the new quarterback (at least the backup). Why? Well, the reason is simple. It’s because of the cannon of an arm the 24-year-old has.
Jefferson shared a video on the Instagram storyboard in which he can be seen throwing a couple of accurate deepballs through the goal post. Even a kicker would find it difficult to bury a spot kick from the distance he was making those throws.
Perhaps it’s the influence of his older brother, Jordan Jefferson. He was the quarterback for the LSU Tigers back in 2011 when they reached the CFP Finals. He later signed for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

GM Mensah has kept his options open amid a limited free-agency quarterback market. However, the Vikings are one of the several franchises that could make use of the NFL Draft.
Last week, Mensah said that the 2024 Draft has a very deep lineup in terms of quality quarterbacks.
You have to be ready for everything; it’s a very deep class... [The] quarterback is the most important position in the sport.Kwesi Adofo-Mensah at last week’s pre-draft press conference
Maybe he should just rely on Justin Jefferson from now on for QB duty. One of the commenters on the video shared another clip of the LSU graduate throwing dimes during warmup before a Vikings game.

Currently, Jefferson is looking to bag the highest-paid receiver title before the new season begins. His recent activity may hint that news could be around the corner. The three-time Pro Bowler attended that Minnesota Timberwolves playoff game on Sunday night.
The money speaks for itself; I call it fortune-tell.Jefferson shared a post on Instagram with the caption
Jefferson is projected to earn $30 million per year. The current best-paid receiver is Dolphins Tyreek Hill with $30 million.
