USA gets disqualified after Noah Lyles’ failed participation at 4x100m relay race in Paris Olympics. Friday’s US team included Christian Coleman, Kenny Bednarek, Kyree King, and Fred Kerley. Unfortunately, Bednared failed to pass the baton to Coleman until he hit the handoff zone, resulting in the disqualification.

Canada took their second gold in the event after getting boosted by Andre de Grasse at the final run. Seeing Canada win the gold medal, their PM Justin Trudeau took a shot at sprinter Noah Lyles for his earlier comments.

He wrote, “Sorry,” replying to Lyles’ provocation to team Canada earlier to the event. During an interview, Lyles was asked if he thought there’d be a rekindling of an old rivalry with the Canadian team, but the US track and field athlete laughed off at the question, repetitively asking “Who? Who?”

While his remark heated up the Canadian athletes at the race, the man who was at the center of the storm failed to run in the 4x100m race. He had initially put his name on the list, but due to being tested positive for COVID-19, he was forced to back out.

Noah Lyles says he’s “proud” of himself for participating in 400m race despite COVID positive

US track and field athlete Noah Lyles dropped out of the Paris Games after being tested positive for COVID-19 during the 200m race. He finished with a bronze medal, but his participation and attitude prior to the game led to several allegations.

Some doubted how much of it was true while others commended Lyles for participating in harsher competition. His coach Lance Brauman said “that wasn’t too bad” considering he was running a fever of 102-degree (Fahrenheit).

My first thought was not to panic, I’ve been in worse situations…I’ve never been more proud of myself for being able to come out here and get a bronze medal.

He said he was preparing in every way he could prior to the race and has been careful to stay quarantined when needed. Lyles also mentioned his last Olympics saying “I was very disappointed” but “this time, I couldn’t be more proud.”
