There is no stopping Iga Swiatek and this statement was backed by another dominant performance from the Polish tennis ace at the 2024 Roland Garros. Swiatek beat Jasmine Poloni in the final to lift her third consecutive and overall fourth French Open title. The 23-year-old won in straight sets, leaving nothing for her opponent to work with.

This dominance from Swiatek at the clay-court Grand Slam tournament is forcing people to go back down memory lane and remember how a young Spaniard thrashed his opponents for fun and eventually earned the crown of ‘King of Clay’. This also sparks a debate about whether the Pole will reach the same height as Rafael Nadal.

Justine Henin has stepped into this debate and shared her views. The former Belgian tennis ace who won four French Open titles herself has claimed that Swiatek will win a few more titles at Roland Garros for sure but the exact number is hard to predict.

Chris Evert backs Iga Swiatek to break her record

While Justine Henin is not sure about the number of French Open titles Iga Swiatek can win in her career, Chris Evert backs the Polish ace to surpass her tally of seven titles. She even believes that the 23-year-old Polish tennis star will end up with a number of French Open titles in double digits.

The American tennis legend joked about losing her sleep over Swiatek’s rise to the top. Evert said that she thinks about the 23-year-old surpassing her every time she goes to bed. 

Yeah, I think about it (Swiatek surpassing her French Open title haul) everyday when I day put my head on the pillow, I'm worried about Iga. No, I think Iga will end up with double digits, not only beating my seven.

Notably, Swiatek is now only three shy of Evert’s tally of seven French Open titles. The 23-year-old won her third consecutive title in Paris and she has now four titles in six appearances at the Roland Garros. No active player has even half the number of French Open titles as Iga Swiatek.
