’60 million down the drain, Kai Havertz scores again!’. It would be an understatement to claim that Arsenal fans love Havertz. The former Chelsea forward is adored by Gunners, and it didn’t take long for them to do so after he jumped ship a year ago.
Havertz left Chelsea as a Champions League winner, with the Gunners claiming him for a price of £65 million. After signing on a five-year deal, the German’s initial season with the North Londoners saw him put up impressive numbers.
His 14 goals and 7 assists across all competitions helped Arsenal to a second-place finish in the Premier League while also playing a part in the club’s Champions League run before falling to Bayern Munich in the quarterfinal. Looking back on his move to Arsenal, Havertz admitted that all the criticism, hate and struggle was ‘worth it’.
The change from Chelsea to Arsenal was worth it. Chelsea fans were angry that I left and Arsenal fans weren't really enthusiastic because it didn't go well at the start.Kai Havertz told Welt am Sonntag
Kai Havertz stressed that backing from the coach and those close to him made the difference for the player.

Arsenal boss admits losing the Premier League is still painful
Arsenal Football Club have been through a lot in the last two seasons. Despite accumulating 89 and 84 points respectively in the last two seasons, the Gunners were forced to see rivals Manchester City lift the title on both occasions.
In a title race which went down to the wire, City prevailed victorious in their final League match, thereby snatching the title from the Gunners. In a recent interview, Mikel Arteta admitted that it still pains him to think about the loss to City.
We should be proud of what we did as a team, both in Europe and the Premier League. But it is still painful and disappointing to not have the Premier League in our hands.Mikel Arteta said in an interview
The Spaniard will manage Arsenal for a sixth season next campaign. Arteta also admitted to taking the loss personally and needing time to come to terms with the loss in the Premier League.
However, he made sure to give credit where it’s due, as his opponent Pep Guardiola orchestrated a title win despite being pushed back significantly at the start of the season. Arteta urged that his team will now recharge, regroup and go for the title again.
