Having last pulled up to SummerSlam in early August, Karrion Kross and Scarlett made their first wrestling appearance since then last night.

For someone who bleeds pro wrestling as passionately as Karrion Kross does, it’s hard for him to distance themselves from the squared circle for too long. That being said, the former NXT Champion showed up at last night’s GCW Homecoming event alongside his wife, Scarlett. The couple emerged during the Garage Beer Championship match between Matt Cardona and Shotzi Blackheart.
Kross and Scarlett had their faces covered, with the latter executing a low blow on Cardona just when he was about to clock Blackheart with a steel chair. The husband-wife duo eventually unveiled their respective identities in a stunning fashion. The erstwhile Zack Ryder acted as if he’d seen a ghost. Kross then drove the ‘Indy God’ through a table in the corner.

That allowed Shotzi Blackheart to put Cardona away with a diving senton and win the title. That was quite a moment for the GCW fans, who were treated to the arrival of arguably the hottest free agent commodity in wrestling at the moment.
It seems like ‘The Doomsday’ will continue working on the independent circuit for the time being, with the 40-year-old also set to make his House of Glory debut on October 10. For the unversed, the former Killer Kross‘ contract with WWE expired on August 10.

When he asked for the metrics behind its valuation, they refused and told him he had 24 hours to sign it.
THIS IS CRAZY…

He wasn’t offered a new deal until the very end of his deal. And when the contract was finally on the table, he was told to respond within 24 hours or the offer would be rescinded. Kross said he needed more clarity on the valuation of his deal to make an informed decision. WWE didn’t give him the metrics and ultimately revoked the offer. Kross admitted that he wanted to keep the dialogue open, but alluded that it wasn’t mutual.
Karrion Kross sends bold message to Matt Cardona after GCW shocker
After ringing some bells with his GCW exploits on Saturday, Karrion Kross posted a video message on X. The ex-leader of the Final Testament can be seen playing violin in the following clip, where he’s heard saying he lost his dream job. While he was upset about it, he’s not anymore because one needs to move on in life, affirmed Kross.

Standing beside him were Scarlett and the brand-new Beer Garage Champion Shotzi Blackheart. Scarlett chimed in for a second to assert they are not fooling anyone with their WWE departures. She ultimately resorted to profanity like her husband and dear friend in Blackheart to warn Matt Cardona in a bone-chilling manner. It ended with Scarlett flipping off Cardona.
It’s clearly not a f**king work. Hey, you know what? I’m not sad anymore! You gotta get on with your f**king life.

That being said, it’d be interesting to see how long this lasts. During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Kross confirmed that he hadn’t been approached by AEW until that point due to the prevailing ambiguity around the veracity of his WWE exit. However, it sure does seem like the New York-born wrestler is no longer associated with the Stamford-based company in any capacity.
How did Karrion Kross react to fans chanting for him on SmackDown?
A couple of weeks ago on SmackDown, Sami Zayn confronted Solo Sikoa and his MFTs in the opening segment. It didn’t take long for the crowd to let their voices be heard regarding Karrion Kross. A number of “We Want Kross” chants broke out, and the concerned wrestler absolutely took note of it. He implied on X that he heard everything.

‘The Harbinger of Doom’ admitted to Ariel Helwani that he did want to continue in WWE. However, the fact that Scarlett didn’t receive an offer from the company might’ve, to some degree, influenced him to turn down whatever he was offered in turn. He also revealed during the interview that Triple H wasn’t over the moon about the shoot-styled promo he cut on the WrestleMania 41 recap show.

Kross masterfully blurred the lines between kayfabe and reality in that verbal outburst, and it earned him the moniker of a good soldier. But as Kross divulged, the Chief Content Officer of WWE didn’t take too kindly to it, and he had to be given an explanation from Kross regarding how it was merely a work.
