This week, Logan Paul stirred controversy by claiming that his WWE peers were jealous of his position in the company. He referred to them as inferiors for failing to build a brand strong enough to sell out arenas. Labeling himself an icon, Paul described others who haven’t made a similar impact as failures. Now, it appears someone has taken exception to Paul’s remarks and responded with a bold message.

Karrion Kross responded to Logan Paul’s remarks by posting a powerful video on social media. In his message, Kross pointed out that for years, WWE talent had been prohibited from building personal brands outside the company. Instead, they were expected to develop a specific set of in-ring and character skills to reach the top.

The problem is that for some people who have put 20, even 30 years in, they were told that there was a certain skill set that they had to acquire. Putting time in was going to equate to having very particular opportunities. Those opportunities don’t seem to be available for those people now, because they did not build a brand outside of the company. And for an extended period of time, no one was allowed to build a brand outside of the company. That’s the issue. That’s the problem.

Calling Paul’s comments shameful, Kross criticized The Maverick for boasting about accomplishments that others were never given the freedom to pursue. The Doomwalker slammed the former United States Champion’s remarks, questioning what hard-working talent is supposed to do now that opportunities—once earned through years of dedication—are being handed to someone who received them on a silver platter.

The former NXT Champion called the frustration of WWE talent toward Logan Paul completely justified and urged The Maverick to reconsider his recent comments. However, Kross also offered praise for the 30-year-old, acknowledging him as a great talent who contributes behind the scenes. The Doomwalker noted that there’s a lot to learn from Paul—but added that sometimes, he simply talks a little too much.

Speaking with WWE Deutschland, Scarlett described Kross’ remarks as an accurate reflection of what it feels like to be sidelined despite having the talent. She called it an eye-opener for those who believe that simply joining a major company guarantees career success. The 34-year-old expressed immense pride in how her husband addressed the situation with honesty and strength.

I think it’s a good lesson for everyone in WWE, everyone on the Independent scene, everyone in wrestling now that even though you’re with a big company, it doesn’t mean you have to stop promoting yourself.

Moreover, the former IMPACT star revealed that after being left off the WrestleMania card, their goal was to maximize their presence during the weekend. She stated that Kross delivered his promo with intense passion to capture attention. That’s exactly what happened as his words became one of the most talked-about moments of the entire WrestleMania weekend.

During WrestleMania weekend this year, Karrion Kross outperformed major names like John Cena, Jey Uso, and Joe Hendry in merchandise sales. His “String Them Up” shirt became the top-selling apparel of the event, highlighting the strong fan support behind the former NXT Champion.

This surge in popularity signals that if WWE decides to give the 39-year-old a proper push, he has the potential to become a main event player in the near future. Once upon a time during his NXT run, it looked like he was on the cusp of superstardom.

Fate had different plans as he never quite reached close to it. However, recent fan support indicate the start of something big. A similar kind of moment happened with LA Knight and Daniel Bryan as well in the past became the reason for their meteoric rise in WWE.
