The pro wrestling business is quite healthy at the moment, with multiple companies doing well despite an unrelenting juggernaut in WWE. It’s a win-win situation for wrestlers who crave alternatives. Nonetheless, current Raw star Karrion Kross was on the fence about his next move before the pandemic.

The 39-year-old told Sam Roberts of Notsam Wrestling that Jon Moxley approached him about joining WWE. Despite Mox’s frustrations with WWE that led to his exit from the company, he advised Kross to connect with Triple H. The erstwhile Dean Ambrose bridged the gap between Kross and the WWE CCO.

After they started having conversations, The Doomsday debuted in NXT within a few months of being in touch with Paul Levesque. The stars really aligned to a point where Karrion didn’t feel the need to look any further than WWE. However, it wasn’t easy for The Final Testament leader to make a decision.

That was because he and his wife Scarlett were in simultaneous talks with the then-AEW EVP Cody Rhodes about joining All Elite Wrestling. But Kross had Moxley suggesting him a move to WWE. And by the way, they’ve never known each other personally up until that point.

Ultimately, The Harbinger of Doom felt like he should pay attention to the former Shield member. Consequently, Kross made his first televised appearance by April 2020. Merely four months after that, the former Impact Wrestling star ousted Keith Lee to win the NXT Championship at TakeOver: XXX.

But unfortunately, he had to vacate the title within a week due to a separated shoulder. His first main roster appearance came in July 2021, where on an episode of Raw, he got squashed by Jeff Hardy. Kross and Scarlett were fired in November before Triple H brought them back in August 2022.

Karrion Kross seems to have found his footing in WWE amid ongoing Wyatt Sicks feud

Over the course of the past two months or more, Karrion Kross‘ Final Testament has been at loggerheads with The Wyatt Sicks. After Karrion’s confidant, The Miz, was abducted by the Wyatts, the feud got even more personal.

The Doom Walker was incensed after Paul Ellering sacrificed himself to save The A-Lister. With vengeance in mind, Kross, Miz, Akam, and Rezar took on the Wyatts in an 8-man tag team match. Uncle Howdy was stunned by Kross after the latter pinned him.

Things have only escalated after that. They’re far from over. At one point, it was rumored that Alexa Bliss could also be inserted in the storyline. However, her return is yet to be finalized. Her last WWE appearance came at the Royal Rumble PLE in 2023.
