Shannon Sharpe went viral on social media, and it was not because of any of his debates or interviews. The Pro Football Hall of Famer ran into a technology mishap on his Instagram Live where he accidentally broadcasted audio of himself engaged in physical activity. Addressing the controversy, Sharpe revealed a hilarious comment by Katt Williams.
Sharpe has built a reputation for being a professional and reliable figure in the sports world. In a follow-up episode of ‘Night Cap’, Sharpe took responsibility for his actions, having felt embarrassed. He expressed disappointment in himself for his actions. Further in the video, Sharpe revealed his friends starting to ring his phone to stop him from doing any further damage. One of the calls was from comedian, Katt Williams and he did not hesitate to have a little fun at his expense.

Immediately after the incident, a story was posted to Sharpe’s handle which said that his phone was hacked. According to Sharpe, the now-deleted story was put up by his team, whom he then called and came clean. The story was taken down and he updated on X that he would go onto his YouTube show Nightcap to address the incident with his co-host, Chad Johnson.
Shannon explained having thrown his phone on the bed without realizing he turned on the IG live feature. For his recklessness with technology, he was mostly regretful.
Johnson backed the ESPN personality, highlighting his struggles with technology. Further, he remarked never imagined seeing Sharpe out of character. Michelle Beadle gets off the hook with Shannon Sharpe tweet
While Sharpe was yet to address the whole fiasco, the internet and their keyboards did not wait. Best believe Kat Williams was not the only person around the sports personality who spoke about the situation. Michelle Beadle also had something to say.
While the audio was undetectable, some people claim to have heard certain names. If the internet was to be believed, they heard a ‘Michele’. In a hilarious tweet Michelle Beadle clears herself of the charges.
Besides Beadle, Chad Johnson was the first person to tweet about this situation, after receiving a reprimand over his lack of professionalism. His tweet was a reply to Ryan Clark, Sharpe’s ESPN colleague, who eagerly waited for the next Night Cap episode. Next up was Damien Woody. The list grew longer.
