The Los Angeles Clippers might be in a sense of delusion after their star Kawhi Leonard has decided ulterior motive. This could just be their last chance for the title with the existing superstars. After Paul George and Kawhi Leonard joined forces at the LA Clippers, the team hasn’t performed as expected by the fans. Even during the playoffs last season, the team failed terribly. After their embarrassing exit in the previous season’s playoffs, many analysts though their might be a potential split in the team. But a recent talk of Kawhi Leonard exiting the franchise has raised a lot of debates round the office.

The 2020-21 season hasn’t been the same as expected. The LA Clippers are 3rd in the Western Conference. With 33-18 record they have solidified their position. But the team hasn’t been promising at all. However, the team was successful enough to brat their arch rivals the Los Angeles Clippers in their last match. But a bad news has hit the franchise. According to NBA reporter Evan Massey, ‘Klaw’ could be eyeing a move from the West Coast to the East Coast. Massey believes Kawhi is keen to team up with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.

The Miami Heat have been the previous year finalists. Teaming up with a potential team will give Kawhi the boost he needs. Since his winning days at Toronto Raptors, Kawhi hasn’t been able to dominate the league with his fantastic shooting. But this trade is a complete surprise for the Clippers as well as the league. There were rumors that Leonard was likely to leave the Clippers if they failed to get hold of the title this year. But looking at the super teams in East and prolific performing teams of West, this might be very challenging.

The Miami Heat considered bringing in Giannis Antetokounmpo during the 2021 free agency. However, this will cost them a ton. Although this is just a rumour, but the Heat will consider taking all risks. On the other hand, acquiring Kawhi might just be out of budget for the team. The team will be elated if two of the All-Stars turn into their offer.

The LA Clippers need to watch out for every possible moves that might get Leonard off the hook. If Heat assemble a team with Giannis, then Kawhi will look to be a part of the squad.
