In Short
  • Kawhi Leonard's humorous reaction to a fight between teammates and Timberwolves players went viral.
  • The Los Angeles Clippers have improved to 33-32, currently sitting eighth in the Western Conference.
  • Leonard is having a standout scoring season, averaging 28.3 points per game, with a recent high of 45 points.

Los Angeles Clippers star Kawhi Leonard has been on a tear this season. He is playing some of the best basketball in his career. For the first time in the 2025-26 campaign, the Clippers have gone over 0.500 after registering a convincing 153-128 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Intuit Dome on Wednesday night.

The win saw the Clippers extend their winning streak to three games and continue their fine form since the turn of the year. They are currently at 33-32 and find themselves in eighth place in the Western Conference standings, one game ahead of the Golden State Warriors.

Meanwhile, the Timberwolves have lost three games in a row and have dropped to sixth place in the standings. It was a disastrous start to the 2025-26 campaign for the Clippers, both on and off the court.

The unceremonious exit of Chris Paul, who had returned to the franchise for his second stint, was not a good look for the front office. At one point, the club were at 14th place with a 6-21 record and the players seemed to have no togetherness in the locker-room.

Something switched for the organization since. With Kawhi Leonard fit and healthy, the Clippers have been one of the best teams in 2026. It looked like their rise would crash after James Harden was traded to the Cleveland Cavaliers at the trade deadline. But the club have continued to stay competitive.

Leonard has always been known for his introverted nature and usually stays away from the public eye. The two-time champion has often been caught in hilarious and awkward moments throughout his career.

Another such moment occurred on Wednesday night when his teammates and the Wolves players got into a heated altercation. Leonard was seen laughing and telling Joe Ingles:

Hey, it’s a fight.

The fight involved players including Naz Reid, Jaden McDaniels, and Bennedict Mathurin, requiring security to separate them. It looked like Mathurin was trying to retrieve the game ball as rookie Sean Pedulla scored his first NBA points.

NBA fans react to Kawhi Leonard’s reaction to his Clippers teammates fighting

This is not the first time that Kawhi Leonard has been captured for a funny reaction and it certainly won’t be the last. However, the clip was quick to go viral and fans did not waste any time in reacting to it across social media.

It seems that fans enjoyed Leonard’s reaction and were calling him the most nonchalant superstar in the NBA.

Kawhi Leonard is having the best scoring season of his career

The Klaw has been unstoppable this season. He has played in 51 out of a possible 65 games for the Clippers so far this season. On Wednesday night, he scored a game-high 45 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists in under 32 minutes. He shot at 75% from the field and made six of his nine three-pointers.

In his post-match interview, Leonard was asked about his career scoring year.

The man above. Me just obviously able to play games. Had a good offseason. Just able to work. Just praising him and work ethic and believing. Just trying to get better in the game… Working on my shot, handle, or passing. Just being aggressive and making mistakes.

Leonard’s highest scoring average came in his first season with the Clippers, where he averaged 27.1 points. This season, he is currently averaging 28.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. The Clippers are scheduled to take on the Chicago Bulls next on March 13.
