The former Toronto Raptors and current Los Angeles Clippers star man Kawhi Leonard has been making the headlines lately. Nick Nurse claimed on the show that Leonard had already planned the amount of time he was staying at the Raptors in an interview before the 2019 season. Nurse also claimed that Leonard was very confident and asserted that he “would win it all in one season” in his face-to-face interview with his former Raptors’ head coach.

He got traded to Toronto, I'm meeting with him and it was super cool. And he(Kawhi Leonard) said to me, ‘Listen, I want to play to win. I'm gonna play to win it all. I'm gonna do it for one year. After that, I'm not sure what’s going to happen. But for one year, I'm gonna play 100 percent. I'm gonna play to win the title.’ So, I wasn’t totally shocked.

Ex-Raptors player shares his controversial take on Kawhi Leonard

Kawhi Leonard is arguably one of the best players the Toronto Raptors ever had in their franchise. He won the 2019 NBA title with the Raptors and was the stand-out performer that season. However, former Raptors star C.J Miles does not agree that Leonard deserves a statue in Toronto despite his heroics in the 2019 NBA season.

It's hard to say yes, but I could see why you could argue it, it's hard to say yes, but it's the first one, and he makes the shot that gets them there...Getting a statue, it's a lot of groundwork that goes into getting a statue.
C.J Miles said on Run Your Race

Though this take could be controversial among some who think Leonard didn’t leave as much in Toronto as some think, this is a sophisticated analysis from Miles. It remains to be seen whether or not Leonard responds to this take by Miles or chooses to ignore it.
