In recent weeks, the Ryder Cup has been the talking point in golf world. The PGA of America approved the payment of U.S. Ryder Cup players. While debates regarding this topic rolls on, there are some like Keegan Bradley who are just excited for the event this year. The 7-time PGA Tour winner has admitted that he has frequent dreams of the competition.

The 38-year-old was a major snub during the 2023 event. Former captain Zach Johnson would not select Bradley as one of his six choices. The golfer would sound off on this and claimed that he had always been an “outsider” in this sport.

Team USA did not enjoy a good start to the 2023 edition. Despite a valiant fightback on Day 2 and 3, they lost by a big margin. Johnson was criticized for his decision and was later sacked as team captain.

Bradley was appointed as the new captain of the team in 2024. Since then, the golfer has kept on dreaming about the event. Speaking from The Sentry, Bradley mentioned that he is having recurring dreams about leading the team.

I’m thinking, like, I had a dream last night, a Ryder Cup dream last night. I just have ’em all the timeI’m dreaming about — well, one, I can’t get to the course, like one of those, and I’m like stressed out… But I dream about being at Bethpage a lot, it’s constantly on my mind.

He will lead out the side at the Bethpage Course in New York while hoping to avenge the defeat of 2023. In the upcoming months, it is likely that he will be busy in building the team which will go up against Luke Donald‘s side later this year.

Keegan Bradley labels current format of Tour Championship as “little chunky”

On Friday, 3rd January, reports emerged that the PGA Tour is working to revamp the format of the Tour Championship. The body is considering to implement a bracket-style format for the final event and replace the “starting strokes” format they currently have. Amidst these proposed changes, Keegan Bradley has labeled the current format as “little chunky“.

The former PGA Championship winner also grateful that he is not in position to make these changes. He would later admit that he is open to try anything to make the tour better.

I do know that the format now I think is a little clunky. I think it’s a little strange. They’re trying to create drama in the last event of the year, and you got guys like Scottie Scheffler who, you know, if they don’t do something like that, wouldn’t have to even play that week and you win the FedEx Cup. So, I’m not in a position, thankfully, to make those (changes), but I’m all for trying to make the Tour better.

He further agreed that a head-to-head competition among players for the Tour Championship. It now remains to be seen what the PGA Tour eventually decides to change. This year the event will be hosted from August 21 to 25 at the East Lake course in Georgia, Atlanta.
