Keegan Bradley and his team are ready for a huge showdown. Ahead of the 2025 Ryder Cup, the USA Captain was seen firing up the fans at the Bethpage Course in New York while running with a US flag in his hand at the fairway.

The biennial tournament between Team USA and Team Europe will kick start on Friday, September 26. Before it got underway, Bradley decided to pump up the crowd.

In a video going viral on X, the 8-time PGA Tour winner could be seen running across the greens at the Bethpage Course, the venue for this year’s tournament, with a massive US flag in his hand. As per reports, he would borrow this flag from a fan.

As he ran on the field, huge cheers could be heard from the crowd. Some of them would even clap as he made his way up to the 18th fairway. He would wave the flag for the crowd present there to watch the practice sessions before the actual event got underway.

Keegan Bradley was appointed the captain of Team USA last year and was named as the successor of Zach Johnson. The 2011 PGA Championship winner had missed the tournament in 2023 as he finished outside of the top-6 automatic qualification spots and was not selected as one of the 6 captain’s picks.

This year, he found himself in contention to play after winning the Travelers Championship. He finished 11th in the Ryder Cup standings and had the option to pick himself as one of his 6 captain’s picks. However, decided not to select himself and did not take up the playing captain role.

Piers Morgan takes swipe at Keegan Bradley for running across Bethpage with US flag

During the practice games on Thursday, Keegan Bradley fired up the American crowd. He would show off his love for his country by running across the field with a US flag in his hand. While the crowd loved it, there were some who were not so pleased with that. Piers Morgan was one of them.

The English broadcaster did not seem to be a fan of this action of Bradley. The 60-year-old, who will be supporting Team Europe over the course of the weekend, took a swipe at the American captain on social media.

While reposting the video of Bradley, Morgan called him “annoying.” The broadcaster later claimed that he could not wait to see him “cry” on Sunday.

God, he’s so annoying. Can’t wait to see him crying on Sunday night.

The pressure will be on Bradley and his team to deliver. After being dominated on Day 1 during the 2023 edition, Team USA ultimately lost 16.5-11.5 in Rome.

This year, Keegan Bradley and his team will have home advantage. They have a good record at home and have not lost against Team Europe on home soil since 2012.

While playing in front of their home fans will be a huge advantage, it could also backfire, as per Luke Donald. The European Ryder Cup captain recently claimed that the crowd in New York could turn on its team if they are losing. He pointed out the payment of the players as a reason for this.

Only time will tell who will come up on top this time. The first matchup of this year’s competition will see Legion XIII teammates Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton pair up for Team Europe to take on Bryson DeChambeau and Justin Thomas.

The other Friday foursomes match pairings are: Ludvig Aberg and Matt Fitzpatrick against Scottie Scheffler and Russell Henley, Rory McIlroy and Tommy Fleetwood against Harris English and Colin Morikawa, and Robert MacIntyre and Viktor Hovland against Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele.
