UFC Bantamweight division saga is not yet over. The championship battle seems to be continuing off the ring too. The current Bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling won his belt in a very uneventful way. Sterling was awarded the belt as Petr Yan was disqualified from their bout.

The Russian, threw an illegal knee at Aljamain when he was on the ground leading to the disqualification. A lot of spectators believed that Sterling played acted like he was hurt but when in reality he wasn’t. This was the first time in UFC’s history that a championship is won in this manner.

The battle between them has been continuing off-field as both the bantamweight fighters decided to get ugly on twitter on March 17. Yan and Sterling went back and forth in a Twitter feud. Things started to get heated when Sterling wrote, “Hey did you and your tea, learn the rules yet?”

Yan didn’t hold back any words and called the current champion a “Cowardly bitch”.

Aljamain Sterling calls Petr Yan a “dirty pr*ck”

The “Funk Master” responded to Yan’s replies to his tweet. Sterling believes that Yan kneed him on purpose because of their bad blood.

Yan called Sterling, “Softest fighter on UFC roster” and thinks Sterling is playing the victim.
