Maguire’s £80 million price tag has been one of the main reasons for the criticisms. Plus, his poor performances have not helped him at all. His only appearance this season came in the second half against Arsenal, where the scoreline ended as a 3-1 defeat for Manchester United. He is unlikely to start the games over Lisandro Martinez and his future selection at United is also in the balance.
