Sports commentator Keith Olbermann accuses St. Louis Cardinals of celebrating Alec Burleson’s HR by mimicking Donald Trump’s fist bump after being shot in the right ear. The incident took place during the weekend when the Cardinals won 6-2 against the Atlanta Braves.
Following Burleson’s long home run, he and his teammates put one hand over their right ear while putting a fist in the air. The scenario was in reference to the 25-year-old’s college day when he used to be a rapper/DJ going by the name ‘Biscuit’.

Furthermore, the team’s designated hitter Matt Carpenter clarified that they were enacting the same gesture even days before Donald Trump got shot during a recent rally in Pennsylvania. However, Olbermann claimed that the organization was promoting Trump and labeled them as “Trump Nazis”.
Attn @mlb ban these guys from baseball for life, confiscate the @Cardinals franchise, and implode the stadium…America has had enough of this s—Keith Olbermann as per Ryan Gaydos of Fox News.

In reality, his facts were completely wrong and he made a fool out of himself.

He called for MLB to “ban” the Cardinals players and to “confiscate” the franchise. Olbermann went as far as asking the league to blow up the Busch Stadium. He noted that players should “stick to sports” and not get involved in political affairs.
Fans speculate Rays Taylor Walls’ celebratory gesture to be a mimic of Donald Trump’s fist pump
St. Louis Cardinals weren’t the only team that raised suspicion of supporting Donald Trump in recent days. Apart from them, Tampa Bay Rays infielder Taylor Walls was also suspected to have made a celebratory connection to Donald Trump’s recent shooting case.

Walls pumped his fist in the air shouting “Fight! Fight!” during their game against the New York Yankees. Many thought it was a note to Trump’s act of getting up despite bleeding from his right ear after the gunshot attack.
However, after commenting on Alec Burleson, Keith Olbermann did not comment further on Rays’ actions. Reporter David Hookstead of Outkick even noted that Olbermann took to his X account penning,
“F*CK THE ST. LOUIS CARDINALS!Keith Olbermann as per David Hookstead of Outkick.
Matt Carpenter says celebration supposed to mimic a DJ with ear/headphones cupped, started early this month & inspired by Burleson’s “college rapper” nickname —Biscuit.

“Definitely not a political statement. That is off base,” insists Carpenter. #stlcards
The tweet from Olbermann is now deleted. Unfortunately, with his accusation of the Cardinals and calling MLB to ban them, the commentator seems to have put himself in hot water with both the fans and Major League Baseball.
