The Fever announced last week that they had cored Kelsey Mitchell, which signifies that the team had ensured the exclusive rights to her. While the team did announce their new extension for Mitchell on Wednesday, their announcement did not reveal the exact details of her new contract. However, ESPN’s Alexa Philippou provided the scoop on the details of her contract.

According to Philippou, both sides came to an agreement on a 1-year super max contract for the seven-year veteran guard. Her new deal will see her earn $249,244 through the 2025 WNBA season. Her latest contract extension would have seen her become the second highest-paid guard in the league, with only Jackie Young of the Las Vegas Aces earning more with an annual salary of $252,450.
In the upcoming 2025 season, her latest salary will see Kelsey Mitchell become one of the highest-paid players in the league, according to contract data by Spotrac.

Kelsey Mitchell’s current contract duration is set at just 1-year owing to the extensive changes set to come about in the upcoming WNBA season. Following the end of the 2025 WNBA season, the league will bargain for a new CBA, which will see the percentage of earnings for every player across the league substantially increase.
