MLB insider Ken Rosenthal has found himself in hot water. The veteran insider came under tremendous heat for his incident with a Milwaukee Brewers photographer. On Monday, he apologized for his actions. However, his apology has not sat well with the fans.

The incident took place after the game between the Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. The NL Central leaders would walk off their division rivals in the 10th inning after being 6-1 down. Following the game, Rosenthal was interviewing Andruw Monasterio, the player who delivered the walk-off hit for the Brewers.

In the middle of the interview, Monasterio’s teammates would come from behind and pour Gatorade on him. This is a tradition that many teams follow after a walk-off win. Rosenthal would step away from the scene to avoid getting wet.

As the drink was spilled on Monasterio, Rosenthal would knock down Scott Paulus, a Brewers photographer. The reporter would stare down at Paulus and did not offer a helping hand to him. This was something that drew heavy criticism from the MLB fans. Check out a video regarding this incident below:

After catching a lot of flak for this moment, Rosenthal would break his silence on Monday. In a video shared by the Foul Territory podcast, the 62-year-old would apologize for his actions. The journalist claimed he was surprised by his own reaction and felt “awful” about it.

When I looked at the video, when I saw this, I was surprised at how upset I appeared. I was more confused than anything. Now, I had to continue the interview. We were live, folks, on national television, couldn’t stop. And, that said, I felt awful about what happened.

Following this 9-8 win, the Brewers failed to complete the sweep of the Cardinals as they lost 3-2 on Sunday. After a day’s break, they will turn their attention towards the Los Angeles Angels, who have been eliminated from playoff contention. The Brewers, who are 91-59, will be hoping to win at least 9 of their last 12 games and end the regular season with 100 wins.
