MLB insider Ken Rosenthal has found himself in hot water. The veteran insider came under tremendous heat for his incident with a Milwaukee Brewers photographer. On Monday, he apologized for his actions. However, his apology has not sat well with the fans.
The incident took place after the game between the Brewers and the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday. The NL Central leaders would walk off their division rivals in the 10th inning after being 6-1 down. Following the game, Rosenthal was interviewing Andruw Monasterio, the player who delivered the walk-off hit for the Brewers.
In the middle of the interview, Monasterio’s teammates would come from behind and pour Gatorade on him. This is a tradition that many teams follow after a walk-off win. Rosenthal would step away from the scene to avoid getting wet.
As the drink was spilled on Monasterio, Rosenthal would knock down Scott Paulus, a Brewers photographer. The reporter would stare down at Paulus and did not offer a helping hand to him. This was something that drew heavy criticism from the MLB fans. Check out a video regarding this incident below:

After catching a lot of flak for this moment, Rosenthal would break his silence on Monday. In a video shared by the Foul Territory podcast, the 62-year-old would apologize for his actions. The journalist claimed he was surprised by his own reaction and felt “awful” about it.
When I looked at the video, when I saw this, I was surprised at how upset I appeared. I was more confused than anything. Now, I had to continue the interview. We were live, folks, on national television, couldn’t stop. And, that said, I felt awful about what happened.

Social media slams Ken Rosenthal for his apology video to Brewers photographer
A couple of days after the incident with the Milwaukee Brewers photographer, Ken Rosenthal spoke on the matter and tried to clear the air. His apology video, however, has failed to impress the fans on social media.

Users on X would slam him for this. Many believed his apology was not heartfelt. One user wrote, “he doesn’t care at all,” while taking a swipe at the veteran insider. Check out that and some other reactions from X below:

Your true colors show when you don't think the camera is watching.

Not a big deal really, but "I was on live TV" is not an excuse for abdicating from common decency.

You’re lying Ken. You didn’t apologize.

Just gross behavior
We still hate you, Ken.

@Ken_Rosenthal at what point in the stare down was the apology?
— Irrelevant Sports Takes (@IrrelevantSpor) September 15, 2025
It definitely was not a good look for Ken.

Ken Rosenthal can apologize all he wants but if you knock someone over – even by accident – and your first instinct isn’t to help them up… you’re not a good person.

Smiling like he did nothing wrong. I don’t believe the apology garbage. I want him to do it in public.

Always haven’t liked Ken Rosenthal
The FOX Sports member also claimed that he has personally spoken with Scott Paulus regarding this and apologized for the incident. While the Brewers photographer holds no ill will against him, the fans are in no mood to forgive him.
Scott Paulus says everything is good between him and Ken Rosenthal following the viral incident
Scott Paulus, the Milwaukee Brewers photographer who was left in the dirt following the collision with Ken Rosenthal, cleared the air on the moment. He expressed that everything is fine between the two of them.

While appearing on the 97.3 The Game podcast, Paulus claimed that he and Rosenthal spoke after the game.
We’re all good. You’re good, Ken. Thanks a lot. We spoke after the game. We’re all good. Everything worked out fine.

Following this 9-8 win, the Brewers failed to complete the sweep of the Cardinals as they lost 3-2 on Sunday. After a day’s break, they will turn their attention towards the Los Angeles Angels, who have been eliminated from playoff contention. The Brewers, who are 91-59, will be hoping to win at least 9 of their last 12 games and end the regular season with 100 wins.
